この装置は、特殊な水平格納型舷梯でオイルタンカー用に設計されております。
鋼製フエザリングステップのNo.1ラダーと軽合金製カーブドステップのNo.2ラダーの二つの構造よりなっております。その中間に踊り場が付いております。

This equipment is designed for oil tankers and other huge ships.
The ladder is constructed by two units; one is of steel feathering steps the other of light alloy steps. An intermediate platform is then provided between the two units.
